The Swiss Employers’ Association (SAV) communicates its position on pensions2020 to the members of the Council of States.
This is not a problem in principle.
One point is tricky: I have heard from Council members that the SAV would rather let the reform fail than swallow the toad of the CHF 70 AHV contribution.
Apparently it is no longer undisputed that the reform must succeed.
But even the powerful players must be prepared to make compromises.
Politics is about give and take.
I consider a pure trial of strength at the expense of the working population to be unacceptable.
After all, the working population pays the bill twice over.
If the reform fails, they will have to continue to cross-subsidize today’s pensions.
In addition, they will have no way of securing their own pensions.
It will be years before the next reform can be implemented. Link to the Blick article
