Gynecology Switzerland / SGGG has decided to launch a podcast series for its members in German and French.
Walter Stüdeli (Köhler, Stüdeli & Partner GmbH) and Thomas Suremann (Klipp & Klar Kommunikation) produced the first podcast for Gynaecology Switzerland in the radio studio of the media center in Bern.
The topic of the podcast is: Lobbying: curse or blessing?
Walter Stüdeli answered questions as a lobbyist.
Lobbying in the Federal Parliament is controversial, said President Michel Müller.
For Walter Stüdeli, lobbying is part of democracy as long as it remains transparent.
Today, women-specific issues are not sufficiently represented in federal politics by umbrella organizations such as the FMH.
It therefore makes sense for Gynécologie Suisse to make its own voice heard.
Those who do not represent their own interests do not exist in federal politics.
Successful lobbying requires a good idea at the right time.
It is about concrete proposals for solutions that can be taken up by politicians.
With regard to the SGGG, Stüdeli says: “The concerns and interests must serve society and women and must not be geared towards the medical profession in particular”.
In the podcast, FDP National Councillor Andri Silberschmidt and SP Councillor of States Flavia Wasserfallen comment on the topic.
Silberschmidt sees ill-prepared lobbyists as a curse, while professional lobbying can support him as a parliamentarian.
Wasserfallen emphasizes the importance of transparency in lobbying, especially in the health sector, where there is an unequal balance of power.
The first recording of the podcast met with a positive response.
Gynaecology Switzerland will publish further podcasts at irregular intervals.
Members would like in-depth discussions and background information on various topics.
