The Federal Statistical Office has corrected the voter percentages, but the distribution of seats has not changed.
What has changed in the National Council as a result of the elections?
We have come up with the following thoughts:
- Corrected FSO figures from 25.10.2023: The FDP (14.3 %) is ahead of the center (14.1 %)
- There was a shift to the right in the National Council, there should be no shift to the right in the Council of States (in some cantons there are 2nd ballots)
- The center is slightly strengthened.
It can therefore play an even stronger role in tipping the scales.
It can forge alliances with the right and the left. - The GLP is severely weakened by the number of seats
- The left axis has been weakened overall, there has been a shift from the Greens to the SP
- The more urban the electorate, the more left-wing it votes
Conclusion
- The strength of the factions is shown in the contribution image (the factions have not yet been definitively formed, there may be small shifts)
- The centre-right and also the left-wing Greens need the center or the GLP for a majority
- The party colors are and remain relative in the healthcare sector.
