The supply situation in the field of pediatric and adolescent medicine was already tense before coronavirus. The waiting times for assessments and psychotherapeutic treatment have reached an unacceptable level The long waiting times can exacerbate psychological problems and lead to chronicity. The situation has become so difficult for many affected children and adolescents and their environment that the expert group on pediatric and adolescent medicine has turned to politicians. The expert group on pediatric and adolescent medicine has written a letter to the FDHA and the Conference of Health Directors GDK asking them to create immediate measures for low-threshold treatment.
